The significance of microservices and Kubernetes is experiencing exponential growth. And we are looking for people who are enthusiastic about embracing these technologies and evolving alongside them. Within the team there are different opportunities.As a Kubernetes platform engineer, you will have a significant impact on the next generation of ‘Miles enterprise suite’. Our software that encompasses -, mid- and back-office functions for automotive finance, leasing, fleet, and mobility management. It encompasses 2 parts: The ‘Core’, an ERP software and the complementary ‘Microservices Platform’ with extra functionalities and portals that interacts with the Core.

Your focus will be on the Microservices Platform and specifically on researching and implementing new tools and technologies to improve its setup.

This means you will:

• 
  

  Research and experiment with modern technologies in this area to keep improving. 

  
  


• 
  

  Setup the Kubernetes Clusters through Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / Ansible).

  
  


• 
  

  Automate deployments through the GitOps approach.

  
  


• 
  

  Help educating colleagues, within the team but also the project teams who are implementing the software.

Your interest and skills

Since the landscape is constantly evolving, the ability to adapt and learn new technologies quickly is crucial.

Besides that, collaboration and communication are very important. You will be collaborating closely with your team members, IT and security and it’s important that everyone is on the same page.

What else is expected: 

• SC clearance


• A diploma in Informatics, Computer Science or related fields


• A few years experience with some of the following technologies: 

Kubernetes (AKS preferable, EKS or GKE are also good)

Terraform, Ansible 

Jenkins, GitHub Actions

GitOps: FluxCD

Helm & Kustomize

Monitoring solutions: Prometheus, Grafana, FluentBit & Loki

• Experience through work or internships with at least one public cloud provider (Azure, AWS….) 


• Fluent in English, any other language is a plus. 


• Knowledge of Kafka, HVR, JBoss, Java, Python, and Bash is a plus.
