Mig & Tig Welder

We are currently recruiting for an experienced MIG & TIG Welder to join a busy manufacturing and fabrication environment in Stourport.

You will be responsible for producing a range of fabricated components to a high standard, working from engineering drawings and production specifications. The role will involve both MIG and TIG welding, with materials ranging from thinner sections through to heavier steel fabrication.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out MIG and TIG welding across a range of fabricated components.

* Fabricate and assemble components accurately from engineering drawings.

* Weld mild and hard steel ranging from approximately 2.5mm to 20mm.

* Complete fabrication work within required production timescales.

* Use hand tools, power tools and welding equipment safely and effectively.

* Produce consistent, high-quality fillet welds on steel and tube.

* Check components, jigs, fixtures and tooling are suitable for production.

* Ensure finished work meets required quality and dimensional standards.

* Work to production schedules and ensure completed fabrications are ready for subsequent processes.

* Identify and resolve straightforward fabrication or welding issues.

* Maintain a safe, tidy and organised workshop environment.

About You

We're looking for someone with:

* Previous experience working as a MIG & TIG Welder or Fabricator Welder.

* Good practical welding skills with some experience in fabrication and assembly.

* Experience welding different grades and thicknesses of steel.

* Confidence producing fillet welds on steel and tube.

* The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

* Good knowledge of hand and power tools.

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

* The ability to work to deadlines and production requirements.

* Good communication skills and a reliable approach to work.

* Basic IT skills.

* A practical approach to troubleshooting and problem solving.

Package

* £33,175 per annum

* Permanent position

* 42 hours per week

* Monday–Thursday 7:00am–4:00pm

* Friday 7:00am–1:00pm

* Based in Stourport
