The Company

Workforce are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly respected engineering and fabrication business based in Birmingham.

With over 50 years of industry experience, the company manufactures high-quality fabricated products for a wide range of customers and continues to invest in both its workforce and facilities.

Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit an experienced MIG Fabricator to join their skilled workshop team.

The Role

This is a hands-on fabrication position suited to someone who is confident working from engineering drawings and producing high-quality fabricated products to customer specifications.

You will be involved in the fabrication and MIG welding of a variety of bespoke and batch-produced components, working as part of a close-knit and experienced team.

Duties Include

MIG welding and fabrication of mild steel components
Working from engineering and fabrication drawings
Measuring, marking out and assembling fabricated parts
Cutting, grinding and finishing materials
Using workshop machinery and fabrication equipment
Carrying out quality checks to ensure work meets required standards
Maintaining a safe and organised working environment

Requirements

Previous experience as a MIG Welder/Fabricator
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Experience working with mild steel fabrication
Competent using fabrication machinery and hand tools
Strong attention to detail and quality
Reliable and able to work independently
