MIG Welder

Location: Buntingford
Pay: £17 - £18 per hour
Overtime: £25.50 - £27 per hour
Hours: Monday – Friday, 1:00pm – 10:00pm
Additional Day Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm
Overtime available | Ongoing work | Temp to perm

About the Role

We’re looking for experienced MIG Welders and Welder/Fabricators to join a busy sheet metal company based in Buntingford.

We have opportunities available on both the 1:00pm – 10:00pm shift and the 7:30am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday day shift.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in welding, fabrication, or general metalworking who’s looking for steady, long-term work with the potential to go permanent. You’ll be working on a range of metal fabrication projects, producing high-quality work for commercial and industrial clients.

What You’ll Do

  Carry out MIG welding and general fabrication work

  Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

  
  


• 
  

  Measure, cut, and assemble sheet metal components

  Operate workshop machinery and hand tools safely

  Maintain a tidy work area and follow health and safety procedures

  Work as part of a small, skilled team to complete custom and production jobs

  
  

What We’re Looking For

• 
  

  Previous experience as a Welder, Fabricator, or Sheet Metal Worker

  
  


• 
  

  Skilled in MIG welding

  
  


• 
  

  Confident reading and working from engineering drawings

  
  


• 
  

  Strong understanding of metalwork and fabrication techniques

  
  


• 
  

  Able to work independently and as part of a team

  
  


• 
  

  Reliable and committed to long-term work

  
  

Who Might Suit This Role

This position would suit someone from a fabrication, engineering, or manufacturing background such as a MIG Welder, Welder/Fabricator, Sheet Metal Welder, Fabricator, Metalworker, Workshop Operative, or Mechanical Fitter with welding experience.

We are particularly interested in candidates who are looking for either a day shift of 7:30am – 4:30pm or an afternoon/evening shift of 1:00pm – 10:00pm.
