INTERVIEWS: Expected to be Wednesday 2 or Thursday 3 July 2025


 


Due to the tight turnaround between the closing date and interview, please confirm your availability to attend in the application form.


 


Hours:  7.50 - 18.75 hours per week (0.2 - 0.5 FTE)


Days:  Between 1 - 2.5 days per week, to be agreed after interview


Contract: Permanent


Salary: £26,660 per annum, pro rata based on full-time hours of 37.5 per week.  Monthly salary based on between 7.50-18.75 hours is £444.33 - £1,110.83 before deductions.


 


Summary / Overview of role: 


To support the Student Pastor with the oversight of the student ministry.  The post holder will be responsible for organising events and pastorally leading within the student communities at Trent Vineyard.


 


Key Responsibilities: 



  • To be a part of the core students team.

  • To provide practical, administrative and pastoral support to all student ministry areas.

  • To attend and lead regular events within the ministry area.

  • To meet one-on-one with Students, and Student Leaders, as well as taking responsibility for their discipleship and support.

  • To oversee and plan for volunteers giving time to the students. 

  • To coordinate any ‘Student Central’ events or large gatherings such as the Weekend Away and Student Summer Party.

  • To be responsible for the running of student integration at both morning and evening services. This will include recruiting team, training and overseeing team leaders.  

  • To oversee any events or incentives where the primary purpose is for the benefit of those outside the church e.g. student alpha, blessing the communities, giveaways, JAD or any other type of ‘outreach’.

  • To liaise with and provide support for any students studying abroad.

  • To be involved in the planning and assist in the delivery of training for Student leaders and potential leaders.

  • To oversee the welcoming of new students through the ‘student linkup’ Fusion App and ChurchSuite Student Flow; as well as planning events for ‘fresher’s week’.

  • To be flexible as the job changes, taking on new areas of responsibility and oversight, at the request of your line manager, relinquishing other roles as the staff team develops and responsibilities change.

Experience: 



  • Planning and organising events 

  • Administration skills 

  • Interpersonal skills

  • Be computer literate [Microsoft office, internet, databases]

  • Proven leadership skills or experience in a similar role



Other requirements: 



  • Committed to and demonstrate knowledge of the vision, values, beliefs and ethos of Trent Vineyard  

  • Attend Trent Vineyard as an active member of church 

  • Willing to submit a DBS Check 

  • Be eligible to work in the UK 

  • Be a practicing Christian*
