Salary: £24,660 - £26,660

We anticipate offering the successful candidate 15 hours per week; however, this may be subject to change. The final number of hours will be discussed and agreed upon during the interview.
This job description is intended to provide an overview of the key responsibilities for both a ministry staff role and a ministry support staff role in worship. The distinction between the two roles will be explained during the interview, and an offer will be made based on the candidate’s skills and experience.
Overview of role:
This role requires you to support the Senior Ministry Pastor responsible for overseeing worship and the team in running the worship ministry at Trent Vineyard. The successful candidate will help ensure that worship during our services and events are Christ-centred, biblically grounded and spiritually enriching. This role involves leading worship, developing teams and helping to create an atmosphere of worship that fosters spiritual growth. The ideal candidate will be a gifted musician, with the necessary strengths to plan, coordinate and deliver worship services. The role requires working collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and church members to create an atmosphere of worship that glorifies God and encourages spiritual growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist your line manager in developing and implementing a comprehensive vision and strategy for the worship ministry that aligns with Trent Vineyard’s vision and values.
Help identify, recruit, train, deploy, monitor and nurture (IRTDMN) support staff, volunteers and leaders as musicians, vocalists and other worship team members to effectively fulfil the vision for the ministry area.
Participate in fostering a culture of teamwork, creativity, and spiritual growth within the worship ministry.
Schedule and conduct regular rehearsals, providing constructive feedback and encouragement to team members.
Collaborate your line manager and other ministry leaders, to integrate worship with the overall church program and sermon themes.
To help plan and lead weekly worship services, including selecting music, coordinating elements of the service, and ensuring a cohesive worship experience.
Support worship team members and volunteers, encouraging their spiritual development and involvement in the church community.
Help to arrange worship team gatherings and social events including Bible studies, retreats, and special events that promote spiritual growth and community within the team.
Lead by example in personal worship and spiritual growth and encourage others in your team and the wider church to cultivate their relationship with God through prayer, worship and service.
With the support of the HR Team, ensure that Trent’s Music Licences (CCLI and The Music Licence) are maintained and regularly updated.
Work closely with the Sound, Media and Production Team to support with the technical aspects of worship, including sound, lighting, and multimedia presentations.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with your line manager through regular meetings, including preparing for and actively participating in your annual performance assessment (appraisal).
Help to plan and participate in special worship events, such as the Carol Service at Christmas, other seasonal services and community outreach initiatives.
Engage in relevant worship networks
Stay current with worship trends, music styles, and technology.
Seek feedback from the congregation and worship team to continually help to improve the worship ministry.

Experience
Working as part of a team, preferably within a church setting
An understanding of the principles of working with and raising up leaders from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds - where possible, have life and work experience with and around a range of cultural backgrounds
Previous experience in worship ministry or a related field (desired)
Familiarity with worship planning software and audio/visual technology (desired)
Experience in administrative and organisational roles
Experience in music production (desired)
Qualifications
Proficient in music theory, vocal performance and instrumental skills
Theology qualification (desired)
Computer literate in Microsoft Applications, internet, databases
Other requirements:
Loyal to Trent Vineyard and the Vineyard Churches movement
Committed to and demonstrate knowledge of the vision, values, beliefs and ethos of Trent Vineyard
Attend Trent Vineyard as an active member of church
Willing to submit a DBS Check, if required
Able to work Sundays
Willing to work some evenings and weekends to facilitate ministry related events
Be a practicing Christian*
