Hours: 18.75 hours per week (0.5 FTE)
Days: 2.5 days per week, including working a half-day on Sunday
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £24,660 per annum, pro rata based on full-time hours of 37.5 per week. Monthly salary based on between 18.75 hours is £1,027.50 before deductions
Summary / Overview of role:
To assist with the oversight of the Sunday environment: Recruiting and raising up volunteers and developing leadership which reflects the vision and values of Sundays ministry. Overseeing Sunday services and the associated teams, as agreed with your line manager. To include overseeing rotas and resources associated with Sundays.
Key Responsibilities:
Involved in the training of leaders and team members in order to consistently develop and effectively reproduce the vision and culture of Sundays ministry.
Foster a Sunday environment which is welcoming and inclusive for new volunteers and one which nurtures authentic community within teams.
Ensure the Discipleship & GAP years are supported and integrated within Sundays ministry.
Participate in Sundays ministry meetings, focusing on the bigger picture of Sundays ministry.
Plan auditorium chair layouts (as agreed with your line manager) and provide the related teams with the relevant supporting administration.
Be available, as appropriate, to the Sundays team and volunteers in order to troubleshoot ahead of Sundays.
Ensure that the relevant ministry spaces and resources are in good order and are accessible and organised ahead of Sunday.
Be involved in large events such as baptisms, Carol services and VCUKI conference.
Liaise with the Safeguarding team and Sundays Pastor in regards to any safeguarding or pastoral issues that arise on a Sunday.
Collaborate as necessary with other ministries operating on Sunday, in order to ensure unity amongst all areas of Sunday services.
Understand the requirements of the Sunday ‘Responsible Person’ role and can carry out the role as required.
Work with staff overseeing Health & Safety to ensure compliance procedures are followed, or that solutions are sought and implemented if issues arise.
Oversee ordering of Sundays refreshments and ensure stocks are at appropriate levels
To be flexible as the job changes, taking on new areas of responsibility and oversight, at the request of your line manager, relinquishing other roles as the staff team develops and responsibilities change.
Reporting Relationships:
You report to: Senior Ministry Pastor (SLT) with oversight of Sundays Ministry
Reporting to you: Volunteer Sundays team leaders

Be a practicing Christian*
Committed to and demonstrate knowledge of the vision, values, beliefs and ethos of Trent Vineyard
Attend Trent Vineyard as an active member of church
Have knowledge and experience of Trent Sundays teams and ministry
Discreet and trustworthy
Able to recruit, identify, train and empower team members and leaders
Able to motivate, cast vision, think strategically and research
Able to delegate work effectively to release other able volunteer leaders
A team player
Approachable, good communicator
Teachable and open to feedback
Flexible attitude and ability to adapt to changing circumstances
Attention to detail, good organiser
Desirable:
