Minor Works Project Manager / Engineer

Our client, one of the biggest local authorities in the highways sector, is seeking a Minor Works Project Manager / Engineer to support the delivery of highway improvement and maintenance projects. This contract opportunity is suited to a project manager or engineer with practical experience in minor works and an ability to coordinate projects from planning through to completion. An ASAP start is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing the delivery of minor works projects within the highways sector
Coordinating contractors, engineering teams and other project stakeholders
Monitoring project progress, quality, health and safety, and compliance
Reviewing scope, programmes, resources and project requirements
Providing technical and project management support throughout the works
Preparing project updates, reports and relevant documentation
Identifying project risks and supporting effective mitigation measures

Job Requirements:

Experience in minor works project management or highways engineering
Strong understanding of highway construction, maintenance and improvement works
Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate delivery to agreed programmes
Knowledge of health and safety requirements within highways projects
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Good organisational, problem-solving and reporting abilities
Availability for an ASAP start
