Mixed Tax Senior

We have an exciting opportunity for a Mixed Tax Senior to join a large firm of Chartered Accountants, at their office based in Darlington.

As a Mixed Tax Senior, you will be responsible for:

• Preparation of more complex income, P11D and corporation tax returns from a variety of systems including CCH, Iris and Taxshield
• Review work and aid development of junior members of the team
• Research tax planning issues
• Support tax partners and directors in more complex cases around residency, R&D, and capital gains tax
• Undertake remuneration planning and liaise with the client as appropriate
• Undertake basic planning work, liaising with the client as appropriate with support from tax partners and directors
• Undertake initial reviews of draft tax computations produced by audit and accounts colleagues
• Act as a point of contact for clients for ad hoc queries

To qualify for this Mixed Tax Senior role, ideally you will meet the following:

• Fully ATT qualified or part CTA qualified
• Relevant tax experience having worked as a Mixed Tax Senior or similar in an Accountancy firm.
• Have excellent communication skills and be confident speaking to clients face to face, over the telephone and by email
• Must have excellent IT skills, including working knowledge of Excel

• Proven experience of delivering excellent client service
