Mobile Electrician – Gold Card

Salary: £42,000–£48,000 basic
Earning potential: Up to £60,000 with overtime and travel time
Location: London and the South East, with occasional UK travel

A well-established electrical contractor is looking for an experienced Gold Card Electrician to join its growing mobile team.

This is a varied commercial role covering maintenance, fault finding, testing, installations and project work across offices, retail sites, healthcare environments and other commercial premises.

The role will suit an electrician who enjoys working independently, solving problems and being trusted to complete work to a high standard.

The role

You will work across London, Essex and the wider South East, with occasional projects elsewhere in the UK.

The position involves regular travel, changing locations and occasional early starts, longer days, night work, weekend work and overnight stays. Overtime, callout work, travel time and accommodation when working away are paid.

Your duties will include:

Reactive maintenance, repairs and fault finding

Commercial installations and small works

*

EICRs, inspection and testing

*

Emergency lighting testing, repairs and upgrades

*

Supporting junior electricians when required

Requirements

*

Valid ECS Approved Electrician Gold Card

*

Level 3 electrotechnical qualification

*

AM2 or equivalent recognised qualification route

*

Current BS 7671 / 18th Edition

*

Inspection and testing qualification

*

Strong commercial electrical experience

*

Confident fault-finding and problem-solving skills

*

Full UK driving licence

*

Right to work in the UK

*

Flexibility to travel, work out of hours, join a callout rota and occasionally stay away

Experience in commercial maintenance, facilities management, offices, retail, healthcare or other live working environments would be advantageous.

£42,000–£48,000 basic salary, depending on experience
