Mobile Plant Mechanic

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable national Plant and Fleet Repair Company, for a Mobile Plant Mechanic to join their team in Southampton. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled plant or HGV mechanic seeking a mobile role with varied, hands-on work and potential for career development.
The Mobile Plant Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining a diverse range of plant equipment, ensuring optimal performance and delivering high-quality service with efficiency and professionalism.

* Up to £38,000 salary, depending on experience
* Monday to Friday, 47.5-hour daytime week

Duties:
* Service, inspect, repair, and refurbish plant equipment and attachments such as dumpers, diggers, telehandlers, trailers, pallet trucks, and pumps
* Diagnose and repair hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical faults
* Respond to breakdowns and perform preventative maintenance
* Follow environmental, health, and safety procedures
* Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and quality standards
Requirements for the Mobile Plant Mechanic position are:
* NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent qualification
* Experience as an HGV or vehicle technician
* Proactive and customer-focused approach with a commitment to excellence
* Own comprehensive toolset (specialist tools will be issued by the company)
* Full UK Driving Licence
* HGV Technician experience is highly beneficial
