🚨 Position: Relief Mobile Security Officer

📍 Location: Securitas Security Services (UK) Ltd

First Floor, 4 Vance Business Park, Norwood Road, Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, NE11 9NE

🕒 Hours: 36 hours per week (typically 12-hour shifts)

Must be available for both day and night shifts, including weekends, as needed to cover core staff

💷 Pay Rate: £12.60 per hour

🚗 Transport Requirement:

• Must hold a full UK driving licence with a minimum of 2 years’ driving experience

✅ Requirements:

  Valid SIA licence

  Minimum 1.5 years of experience in a mobile security role

  Able to work independently and adapt to changing situations

  Comfortable with using technology (e.g. mobile apps, reporting tools, GPS systems)

As a Relief Mobile Officer, you’ll play a vital role in supporting site coverage and operational continuity, with a flexible schedule across various locations.

We are looking for a professional and punctual individual with strong customer service skills, good communication, and experience in conflict management, time management, and report writing. Responsibilities include access and egress control, site patrols, and maintaining a customer-focused approach while ensuring detailed report writing.

Responsibilities:

• To provide security services at various sites across a defined geographical area as required.
• Protecting the customer’s employees, property, and other assets in line with the relevant Assignment Instructions and site-specific customer requirements.
• Delivering the highest levels of customer service which consistently demonstrate Securitas’ core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness. (NB: the prospective Security Officer must have acquired the full SIA licence before being able to start work on operational shifts).
• Display an outstanding level of customer service.
• Take responsibility for problems that staff and visitors may have.
• Display the highest standard of personal presentation and smartness of uniform to maintain the image of Securitas and the customer.
• Ensure all paperwork is completed in a timely fashion and conduct effective handover procedures.
• Undertake any other duties as requested by Branch Management.
• Demonstrate understanding and engagement with the Securitas Core Values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness, whilst showing a natural ability to recognise risk within the workplace and consider safety as a priority, complying with relevant policies, procedures and training as provided by the Company. ✨
