The Opportunity
An established and growing financial advisory firm in Horsham is seeking an experienced Mortgage and Protection Administrator to join their team on a full-time, office-based basis.
This is a fast-paced role within a boutique, client-focused business known for its high-quality, personalised advice in mortgages, protection, and wealth planning. The ideal candidate will bring strong organisational skills, an ability to work efficiently under pressure, and prior experience supporting advisers in the mortgage and/or protection space.
While the firm deals with smaller individual cases, the volume of business is high, so this role requires someone confident managing multiple cases simultaneously with precision and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Processing mortgage and protection applications from initial client enquiry through to completion
Liaising with lenders, providers, solicitors, and clients to ensure a smooth end-to-end process
Managing documentation and ensuring all compliance and regulatory requirements are met
Maintaining accurate client records and case updates on the CRM system
Supporting advisers in daily case management and administrative tasks
Prioritising tasks in a busy environment to meet deadlines and maintain service levels
Candidate Profile
Essential:
Prior experience in a mortgage/protection administrative role (2+ years preferred)
Strong organisational skills and the ability to handle a high case volume efficiently
Proactive, fast learner with excellent communication skills
Attention to detail and ability to manage processes accurately
Comfortable in a client-focused, fast-paced office environment
Desirable:
Familiarity with FCA compliance standards in mortgage and protection advice
Experience using mortgage sourcing tools and CRM systems
Background in a small firm or adviser-led environment where adaptability is key
Understanding of mortgage protection products, life cover, critical illness cover, and income protection
