• Job Type: 12-month fixed-term contract
• Salary: Up to £32,000

Join our dynamic team as a Mortgage & Protection Business Assessor, where you'll ensure the quality and compliance of mortgage and protection recommendations. This role is crucial in maintaining high standards and delivering outstanding client outcomes by assessing cases and providing feedback to advisers.

• Review mortgage and protection cases to assess the quality of advice and adherence to sales processes.
• Conduct and record case checking assessments accurately and fairly.
• Identify any discrepancies or errors in advice, escalating issues as necessary.
• Provide clear, actionable feedback to advisers to rectify issues and maintain high standards.
• Manage timely reporting of potential breaches and rejects, taking ownership of difficult decisions.
• Achieve the agreed number of advice checks and peer review checks per day, along with other service level agreements (SLAs).
• Build and maintain relationships with key contacts internally and externally, providing advice and guidance as required.
• Collaborate effectively with Operations, Distribution, and Compliance teams to improve advice quality across the network.
• Stay updated with regulatory changes and industry best practices.

• Previous experience in mortgage and protection advice or compliance/quality assurance within financial services.
• Relevant qualifications (CeMAP or equivalent) preferred.
• Strong understanding of FCA regulations and TCF (Treating Customers Fairly) principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to communicate feedback effectively.
• Sound judgement, ensuring impartiality and consistency.
• Good problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Effective time management, planning, prioritising, and organisational skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• A collaborative mindset and a natural customer focus, capable of handling challenging situations.
