Job Description - Mortgage Broker

About the Mortgage Broker Role
This is an employed, full-time office-based role in Bath, working in a positive, high-performing team. You’ll be advising on residential mortgage and protection products with a typical case size of £2,500 and a consistent stream of leads — meaning no cold calling or self-sourcing required.
You’ll also have the option to increase your base salary by working just one weekend day per month.

Mortgage Broker Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored mortgage and protection advice to a range of residential clients
  • Manage a consistent flow of high-quality, warm leads provided by the business
  • Handle the full case journey from enquiry to completion, supported by experienced administrators
  • Maintain high compliance standards and always put the client first
  • Refer to in-house wealth management partners and earn commission on those too


Mortgage Broker: What’s on Offer:

  • £30,000 basic salary - or £35,000 if you’re open to one weekend day/month
  • 15% commission on all business (after a modest £3k monthly validation)
  • Warm leads provided - no self-generation required
  • Full admin support - focus on advice and closing, not paperwork
  • Referral commission - earn extra by referring to in-house wealth partners
  • Positive, collaborative culture - no micromanagement, just results and recognition
  • Self-employed option available - for those who prefer that route


Who We’re Looking For:

  • CeMAP (or equivalent) qualified
  • Minimum 12 months’ experience as a Mortgage Adviser/Broker
  • Comfortable working in an office-based setting (this is not a remote or hybrid role)
  • Confident, driven, and motivated to deliver results for clients and yourself
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills
  • Knowledge of residential mortgages and protection products
