We are pleased to advertise an opportunity for an MOT Quality Control and Relief Tester to join the Operations Department.
This role would suit someone based in a central location, as regular travel will be required to support stores across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure all calibrations have been completed and uploaded to the MOT Club Portal, report any missing calibrations and arrange for them to be carried out.
Ensure all MOT equipment is compliant and free from defects, report and advise where necessary.
Analyse test logs and compare invoices to ensure that all MOTs have been invoiced and carried out as per DVSA standards.
Analyse emission data and ensure that all MOTs have the correct data (printed if not then backed up on hard drive)
Analyse TQI’s and discuss with the MOT testers.
Ensure that MOT Club site checks have been carried out and that any flags have been actioned with comprehensive comments on sign off.
Conduct monthly MOT QC’s and discuss and findings with the MOT testers to ensure DVSA standards are maintained.
Coaching and mentoring new and existing MOT testers.
Add and remove MOT testers from the MTS – conducting diligence to ensure each MOT tester is compliant.
Report any safety related incidents while in store and isolate any risk where required.
What you will need -
Active MOT status including;
Studying all relevant special notices (and acknowledge on MTS when required), the MOT testing guide, the Matters of Testing blog, emailed messages from DVSA and appropriate inspection manuals and their amendments.
Successfully completing annual training and assessment as stipulated by DVSA with full 5 years training logs. o training on the use of any new or modified equipment installed at all VTS’s.
Studying or training on the significance and correct functioning of any new features that are introduced on vehicle types that they are likely to be asked to test.
Minimum of 5 years MOT testing experience with no DVSA unspent disciplinary action
Good understanding of MOT compliance (MOT Site Manager Level 3 desired)
Good knowledge of Microsoft related software
Full UK Driving Licence
Extensive UK travel required – central location
Ability to manage own time.
