MOT Technician

Our client, a reputable multi-franchise car dealer group established across England, is seeking an experienced and professional MOT Technician for their busy dealership in Hereford. Salary up to £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience and current earnings

Regular working hours from 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, with a half-hour lunch break
1 in 3 Saturdays, 8:00am to 12:30pm, paid as overtimeDuties of a MOT Technician:

Carrying out fault diagnosis, servicing, maintenance, and repairs to manufacturer standards
Conducting MOT tests on customers’ vehicles in accordance with Ministry standards
Diagnosing faults accurately and reporting vehicle condition, safety, and performance issues
Ensuring adherence to quality, health, and safety procedures
Capturing detailed reports on vehicle safety, reliability, and roadworthiness
Working efficiently within a team to meet targets and service deadlines
Maintaining high standards of workmanship in a busy environmentRequirements of a MOT Technician:

Fully qualified Vehicle Technician to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
Valid MOT licence
Full UK driving licence
Previous experience with fault diagnosis and vehicle repairs
Capable of delivering high-quality work under pressure
Good team player with a strong work ethic
Commute within reasonable distance of Hereford
