MOT Technician

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester position in Scarborough, North Yorkshire.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced automotive professional to join a thriving independent business that is expanding its workforce and product range.
The successful Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester will benefit from:
* Competitive basic salary of up to £37,500 per year,
* With working hours from 08:30 to 17:30, Monday to Friday, with no weekends required. This provides a balanced work-life environment.
* Exposure to both vehicle servicing and MOT testing within a busy workshop, allowing to diversify your skillset and work on a range of vehicle makes and models.
Duties for the Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester include:
* Conducting MOT inspections to ensure vehicles meet legal requirements and safety standards,
* Performing vehicle servicing and repairs in accordance with manufacturer guidelines,
* Diagnosing complex automotive issues accurately, and maintaining comprehensive service records,
* Delivering excellent customer service by clearly communicating repair details is a key aspect of the role.
The ideal Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester will possess:
* Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester, with a full MOT Tester qualification.
* Strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems and diagnostics is essential, alongside the ability to work efficiently independently and within a team.
* Attention to detail and organisational skills are critical in maintaining high standards.
