Job Description - MOT Tester

MOT Tester required for our Client’s busy multi-site garage, located in Southampton.

The salary of this role is up to £36,000 basic with OTE of £40,200.

MOT Testers play a huge role in our Client’s company, and they play a huge role in keeping our roads safe!

Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:30; Saturdays on a rota, with a day off in the week when working on Saturdays.

Responsibilities:

The ability to communicate with customers effectively
Carrying out MOT Failure rectification work as and when required
Ensuring VOSA standards are met at all times.
Complete fast fit tyre fitting and using an alignment machine – understanding relevant adjustments and readings.
Applying strong mechanical knowledge to fit brakes, exhausts and other general parts.

Requirements:

Hold a valid MOT Licence
Preferably a NVQ Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or equivalent.
Have previous working experience within the role
Working collaboratively in a team environment.
A Full UK Driving Licence
A sound Mechanical knowledge
