MOT Tester

* Competitive starting salary between £30,000 and £45,000 per annum, negotiable based on experience
* Potential to earn a workshop performance bonus, paid monthly, approximately £5,000 per year

* Monday to Friday working hours from 8:00am to 5:30pm, with two 30-minute breaks
Duties of the MOT Tester:
* Conduct MOT tests on customers’ vehicles in accordance with Ministry standards
* Diagnose and carry out repairs and servicing as needed
* Support workshop operations with other vehicle maintenance tasks
* Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow
* Maintain high standards of vehicle safety and compliance
* Keep accurate records of work undertaken and inspections completed
* Uphold exceptional customer service standards during interactions with clients
Requirements needed of the MOT Tester:
* Valid and active Class 4 and 7 MOT testing licence
* UK driving licence with minimal points
* NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualification preferred
* Alternatively, extensive experience as a qualified vehicle mechanic with an active MOT licence
* Strong team player with excellent communication skills
* Ability to work independently and efficiently within a busy workshop environment
* Good organisational skills and attention to detail
