MOT Tester

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable automotive repair business with multiple sites, for the position of MOT Tester in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to join a growing company committed to safety, quality, and customer service.

Opportunity to work for a growing Welsh-based businessDuties of an MOT Tester:

Conduct MOT tests in accordance with Government standards and protocols
Maintain high standards of vehicle safety and compliance
Support customers by explaining test results, repairs needed, and reasons for failures
Support workshop operations by diagnosing and assisting with related repairs and servicing
Liaise effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction
Support the team with general workshop duties as requiredRequirements of an MOT Tester:

Active Class 4, 5, and 7 MOT testing licence
UK driving licence with minimal points
Ideally hold IMI/NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
Alternatively, be a time-served vehicle mechanic with extensive experience and a valid MOT licence
Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
