MOT Tester Technician

Salary: £37,440 - £45,000 Depending on Experience.

Job Description:

They are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified MOT tester or technician to join the team. The successful applicant will be welcomed to join a strong team and a great dealer group.

Reporting directly to the Service Manager and working with colleagues and other teams across the site to provide a high standard of customer service. As MOT tester you will play a vital role in delivery customer satisfaction and helping keep their vehicles and our roads safer

Key Duties:

MOT Testing/Vehicle technician

* Complete MOT tests on all makes of passenger and light commercial goods vehicles

* Perform MOT tests to required standards and regulations

* Maintain appropriate records

* Keep up to date with required training

* Repairs and servicing on all makes of vehicles

* Diagnostic repairs

Daily duties

* Provides accurate assessments and reports on the MOT test

* Schedules work to meet customer requirements

* Notifies aftersales team of any defective items

* Produces job card, detailing any special requirements and distributes to the workshop briefing technicians where appropriate

* Assists with vehicle delivery/collection where needed

* Co-ordinates MOT test with other servicing requirements to ensure efficiency

* Assesses and records appropriate information

* Updates customer database to maintain accurate records

Works as a full member of the team

* Works with colleagues and other teams across the site to provide a seamless service to customers

* Ensures opportunities for sales by other teams are followed up by the most appropriate specialist

* Be willing to get stuck in and help the team when needed
