Benefits: * Competitive salary of up to £50,000 * Monday to Friday days-based shift pattern * Company pension scheme * Staff discount * 28 days holiday (including Bank Holidays) * Career progression opportunities within a well-established food manufacturer * Recognition and reward programme Key Multi Skilled Engineer Responsibilities: * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across production and site equipment. * Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise production downtime. * Act as the lead engineer on site, providing day-to-day technical guidance and support to the engineering team (no direct reports). * Ensure machinery is operating safely, efficiently, and to the required production standards. * Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance requirements. * Conduct routine inspections, fault finding, and equipment health checks. * Order, fit, and replace components and spare parts as required. * Work closely with the Engineering Manager to improve equipment reliability and site performance. * Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine efficiency and reduce recurring faults. * Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete quality inspections on all engineering work. * Promote and maintain high standards of Health & Safety, food safety, and hygiene across the site. Multi Skilled Engineer Requirements: Essential: * Multi Skilled Engineer with recognised electrical qualifications. * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (or equivalent) is essential. * Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding and maintenance experience. * Previous experience within a food manufacturing, FMCG, or similar production environment. * Ability to prioritise planned maintenance alongside reactive breakdowns. * Excellent communication and organisational skills. * Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices. * Ability to work independently while leading engineering activities on shift. Desired: * Time-served apprenticeship in Electrical or Multi Skilled Engineering. * HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. * Experience leading or mentoring small engineering teams. * Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and equipment reliability techniques Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
