Job Description - Multi Skilled Engineer Day shift

Role: Multi-Skilled Engineer
Location: Liverpool
Type: Permanent
Salary: £44,500 per annum
Type: Monday-Friday days

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hands-on, electrically biased Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our client's dedicated maintenance team at a dynamic and fast-paced industrial facility.This varied role includes planned preventative maintenance, first-level reactive support, diagnostics, and upkeep of maintenance systems and documentation.

The role:

Execute both scheduled and condition-based preventative maintenance on a wide range of electro-mechanical systems and equipment.
Carry out first-line diagnostics, repairs, and fault resolution in a timely and effective manner.
Collaborate with operational teams to identify and implement engineering improvements, supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Engage third-party services when required.
Conduct risk assessments on electro-mechanical systems in partnership with the Engineering Manager and Health & Safety personnel.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date service records using the site's Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Manage inventory, including cataloguing and periodic audits of technical spare parts and consumables.
Coordinate with external contractors as required.
Participate in relevant training and development to maintain and enhance technical competence.

The candidate:

Minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
Familiarity with PLC logic and programming principles.
Ability to interpret and work from electrical and mechanical schematic drawings.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
Strong analytical and fault-finding abilities.
