The Boston site employs a large workforce and plays a key role in delivering fresh, high-quality products across the UK. The Role An opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join the site on a permanent night shift. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving production equipment, ensuring maximum uptime and supporting operational performance across a busy FMCG manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities • Carry out fault finding, problem solving, and both planned and reactive maintenance • Work across a range of production and packaging machinery • Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults efficiently to minimise downtime • Respond to breakdowns and support production to meet output targets • Ensure all work is completed in line with food safety and health and safety standards • Accurately complete maintenance documentation and ensure audit readiness • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance performance and reliability The Person • Multi Skilled Engineer with both electrical and mechanical experience • NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or equivalent • Background in FMCG, food manufacturing, or a similar fast paced environment • Strong fault finding and problem-solving ability • Proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop • Able to work independently on a permanent night shift What’s On Offer • Salary of £57,500 • Permanent night shift, 6pm to 6am • Continental shift pattern, 2s and 3s • Company pension, up to 8% matched • Life assurance • Employee benefits platform and discounts • Ongoing training and development opportunities Keywords Multi Skilled Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, FMCG, Food Manufacturing, Night Shift, Continental Shift, Boston Our clients and their customers come from diverse backgrounds and so do we.
