Working Hours: 4 on 4 off (2 days 7am–7pm and 2 nights 7pm–7am)

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer – The Role:

As a Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer, reporting to the Engineering Manager, you play a crucial role in maintaining efficient operations and ensuring equipment reliability. With expertise in preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, electrical fault finding, and process improvement, you will collaborate with internal teams to minimise downtime and optimise production performance.

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer – Key Responsibilities:

- Perform scheduled maintenance tasks on injection moulding machines, auxiliary equipment, and related systems (hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical)

- Monitor equipment performance, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to prevent disruptions

- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, diagnosing and repairing faults efficiently

- Provide regular updates on maintenance activities, breakdowns, and resolutions to the operations team

- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth production flow

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer – You:

- Time-served Level 3 apprenticeship in a multi-skilled engineering discipline

- Demonstrated ability to perform well in a high-pressure environment

- Experience with electrical fault finding

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

- Proficiency in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as Shire Pirana

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Experience with injection moulding, robotics (3+6 axis), and automated packaging systems

- A proactive problem solver

- Familiarity with safety regulations, lean manufacturing principles, and root cause analysis tools such as 5 Whys, Ishikawa diagrams, and RCPS
