Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a leading manufacturing business in Chatham. This role offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to work on a days-only basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both electrical and mechanical maintenance, with a preference for a 60/40 to 70/30 split in skills.

• Conduct reactive and preventative maintenance on a variety of manufacturing equipment and components including motors, inverters, sensors, pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics, gearboxes, and drives.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures efficiently to minimise downtime and maintain production schedules.
• Perform regular checks and maintenance tasks according to safety standards and operational requirements.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to improve maintenance procedures and outcomes.
• Document maintenance activities and report on issues and resolutions.

• Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, with a preference for a 60/40 to 70/30 electrical/mechanical skill set.
• Familiarity with components such as motors, inverters, sensors, pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics, gearboxes, and drives.
• PLC knowledge is advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
