Maintenance Engineer - FMCG

Location: Staffordshire

Salary: £42,000 per annum

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off - Days (6am-6pm)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to join a fast-paced, high-performing team in the FMCG industry? We are currently recruiting for an experienced engineer to join our maintenance department, supporting continuous production and ensuring minimal downtime in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond quickly to breakdowns across production lines
  
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and automation faults on a range of FMCG machinery
  
• Work closely with production teams to ensure minimal disruption to output
  
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and assist in continuous improvement initiatives
  
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety standards and site procedures
  

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role within an FMCG or similar manufacturing environment
  
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills (multiskilled preferred)
  
• Understanding of PLC systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens, or similar)
  
• Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or above, or equivalent)
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and reliable approach
