Job Title: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer.

Synergi are recruiting for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join one of the leading FMCG Manufacturers based in the Southwest London area. This is an opportunity to join an exciting company. The successful Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer would be joining an experienced team with a vast amount of industry knowledge. As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, with a strong electrical bias (70%) and complementary mechanical skills (30%) you will support the maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement of the production equipment and plant infrastructure.

The role is crucial to ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting production efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Roles & Responsibilities as a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer:

•  Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems, including motors, PLCs, control panels, sensors, and circuits.

•  Support mechanical maintenance tasks including pumps, conveyors, valves, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, bearings, and gearboxes.

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on electrical and mechanical equipment.

•  Install, modify, and upgrade electrical systems and components as per specifications.

•  Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant regulations (e.g., IEE wiring regulations).

The Ideal background of a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer:

• FMCG/Food manufacturing experience essential.

•  Electrical Apprenticeship / Electrical Engineering Qualifications (17th/18th Edition wiring regulations, NVQ level 3 certified.)

• Knowledge and experience Fault finding with PLCs.

• Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
