We are currently recruiting for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy food manufacturing site in Merthyr Tydfil.

The role will provide hands on maintenance support across a fast paced production environment, ensuring machinery and equipment remain safe, reliable and operational.

The successful candidate will be multi skilled, with a strong electrical and/or mechanical background, and have previous experience working within a manufacturing environment. Food or meat processing experience would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across the site
Diagnose and fault find electrical and mechanical issues
Minimise production downtime through effective fault finding and repairs
Work with PLC controlled machinery and automated equipment
Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with company procedures

The Candidate

Multi Skilled Engineering apprenticeship
Electrical and/or Mechanical qualification
Previous manufacturing maintenance experience
Strong electrical and mechanical fault finding skills
PLC experience would be advantageous
Experience within food or meat manufacturing would be beneficial
Proactive, hands on approach with the ability to work independently
Good communication and teamwork skills
Comfortable working a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern covering both days and nights This is a great opportunity for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to join an established manufacturing operation, offering a strong salary and consistent 4 on, 4 off shift pattern
