The Role

As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving a wide range of automated production and packaging equipment in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across production machinery and site services
Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime
Maintaining automated processing and packaging equipment
Working with PLCs, inverters, control panels and electrical systems
Servicing conveyors, motors, drives, mixers, extruders and ovens
Fault finding on hydraulic, pneumatic and steam systems
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and engineering projects
Working closely with production teams to maximise equipment performance
Maintaining accurate maintenance records through CMMS systems
Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures

The Candidate

To be considered, you should have:

Multi Skilled Maintenance experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, packaging or a similar automated environment
Strong electrical fault-finding ability
Relevant engineering qualifications (Electrical or Mechanical)
Experience working on automated manufacturing equipment
Knowledge of PLCs, drives, motors and control systems
Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance
Ability to work effectively as part of a shift engineering team

Desirable Experience

PLC fault finding and diagnostics
Packaging and process machinery
Steam systems, boilers, valves and pipework
Conveying systems and drive technologies
Ovens, mixers, grinders and extruders
CMMS maintenance software
