The Opportunity
We are recruiting for an experienced Multi Skilled Security Engineer to join an established and growing life safety and security business.
This is a senior, hands-on role within the service and reactive operations team, acting as a key technical point of contact for customers and engineers.
You will focus on preventative maintenance, fault finding and repairs across a range of electronic security systems, while providing technical guidance and mentoring to the wider engineering team.
The Role
You will take responsibility for maintaining high standards of technical delivery, customer service and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintenance & fault finding: Carry out preventative maintenance, diagnostics and reactive repairs across electronic security systems.
* Technical leadership: Act as the technical escalation point for complex issues, supporting and mentoring other engineers.
* Customer support: Provide professional technical support to customers and stakeholders, both on-site and remotely.
* Systems & technology: Work across Intruder Alarms, Access Control, CCTV and Intercom systems, using manufacturer software for configuration and diagnostics.
* Quality & compliance: Ensure all work meets relevant British Standards, legislation and internal procedures, while maintaining accurate documentation and van stock.
About You
You will ideally have:
* Strong security industry experience: Extensive hands-on experience working with electronic security systems.
* Technical expertise: Excellent knowledge of Intruder Alarms, Access Control, CCTV and Intercom systems, including system programming and diagnostics.
* Problem-solving ability: A systematic and logical approach to fault finding, with a focus on resolving issues efficiently and correctly first time.
* Leadership & communication: Confident supporting and mentoring engineers, with excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Professional & organised: Strong attention to detail, accountability and a commitment to high standards of workmanship, compliance and documentation.
* 9/10-day working fortnight to support work-life balance.
