We are seeking an experienced Plumber / Multi-Trade Operative to work across Merseyside. Plumbing will be your primary trade, with additional responsibility for a range of general maintenance and repair activities.
You will be responsible for completing work to a high standard, with an emphasis on resolving issues efficiently, getting jobs right first time and providing a professional service to residents.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake a broad range of plumbing repairs and installations, including identifying and repairing leaks, hot and cold-water systems, immersion heaters, tanks, kitchens and bathrooms.
* Complete general multi-trade maintenance, including:
* Wall and floor tiling
* First and second fix carpentry
* Plaster repairs, patching and making good
* Painting and decorating
* Update job information promptly and accurately using the Axis mobile application.
* Work closely with supervisors, scheduling teams and office-based colleagues to ensure jobs are completed efficiently.
* Carry out appropriate risk assessments and comply with all company health and safety requirements.
* Provide guidance and support to apprentices where required.
* Maintain consistently high standards of workmanship and customer care.
* Work within occupied residential properties while treating residents, their homes and belongings with courtesy and respect.
* Participate in emergency response and out-of-hours callout arrangements when required.
About You
You will be a dependable and versatile tradesperson with strong plumbing experience and the ability to undertake a variety of additional repair and maintenance tasks.
You should take pride in your workmanship, communicate confidently with residents and colleagues, and be comfortable working independently as well as part of a wider team. A strong focus on safety, quality and customer satisfaction is essential.
Essential Requirements
* NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or an equivalent qualification in Plumbing.
* Current Unvented Hot Water Systems qualification.
* Practical experience in additional trades such as tiling, carpentry, plastering and decorating.
* Competence in safely isolating and testing electrical components.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Own, well-maintained tools suitable for carrying out the role.
* Previous experience within social housing repairs and maintenance.
* Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
* Good attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
