UKCEH is looking for an experienced Facilities Manager (Multi-Site) to lead facilities operations across our Lancaster (primary) and Bangor sites. You’ll be joining a team of talented individuals, contributing to science discovery and generating the data, insights and solutions that researchers, businesses and government need to solve complex environmental challenges.
In this role, you’ll be managing a multi-disciplinary facilities team, ensuring service excellence across cleaning, waste, fleet, reception, and contractor services, while maintaining full compliance with health, safety, and statutory requirements.
You’ll act as the operational lead across both sites, balancing on-site leadership at Lancaster with remote management and planned travel to Bangor.
You’ll be the point of contact as the on‑site lead for Workplace operations, managing key service areas including fleet coordination, waste management, cleaning, reception, and overall service delivery. Strong communication skills are essential, with regular engagement with key stakeholders such as our landlords, Bangor and Lancaster Universities, Heads of Site as well as colleagues and science groups across both sites.
