Job Description - Multiskill Fire and Security Engineer

For the fire and security engineer who'd get bored doing the same sites week in, week out, and likes a job where there's always something different on the list.

The work is servicing and maintenance on fire alarms, intruder, CCTV and access control. The patch is based around the GL postcodes, with your own regular customers and a share of the on-call rota. Sites are a real mix: schools one day, council and housing buildings the next, then commercial properties. When another area needs an extra pair of hands, the work can take you further afield too, which keeps things from going stale.

The company is a nationwide service provider with over 30 years in fire and security and around 100 staff. It's big enough to keep the work steady and invest in its engineers, and small enough that people know who you are. The people running it came up through the tools.

What's on offer

£36,000 to £43,000 basic DOE, plus overtime

Company van

Phone, laptop and tablet

25 days' holiday plus bank holidays

Pension

Manufacturer training courses

The must-haves are proven, hands-on experience across both fire and security, confidence fault finding on your own, a full UK driving licence, and passing BS7858 vetting and an enhanced DBS.
