Job Description - Multi-Skilled Crane Engineer

Exciting Opportunity for Multi-Skilled Engineers -RHC Lifting - Now Part of WH Scott Group!

RHC Lifting Limited, a market leader in the lifting equipment industry, is dedicated to delivering innovative solutions and exceptional service to clients across the South East. As part of the WH Scott Group, we are seeking highly skilled and motivated Multi-Skilled / Maintenance Engineers to join our dynamic team.

About the Role

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will:

  • Attend breakdowns, perform servicing, testing, and commissioning of overhead gantry cranes and associated lifting equipment.
  • Support the installation of lifting equipment for a variety of customers across the South East.
  • Work with electrical and mechanical systems to ensure the highest quality of maintenance and service.

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • Proven experience in preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, including fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.
  • Electrical engineering expertise with a solid understanding of three-phase control systems.
  • Mechanical experience with medium to large motors, electro-mechanical brakes, and reduction gearboxes.
  • Familiarity with PLCs and inverter control systems (desirable but not essential).
  • A valid driving license and a willingness to travel (25% travel required).

  • Monday to Friday (40 hours per week).

Qualifications & Experience

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred).
  • Minimum 1 year of maintenance experience (required).
