Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer - FMCG

• Basic Salary up to £55,000 per annum with 1.5x overtime rate and an excellent benefits package.
• Hours: 12 Hour Shifts, 4 on 4 off (Days/Nights Rotation) - No call-outs
• Location: Purfleet - Thurrock area
• Permanent position

We are looking to recruit a multi-skilled Shift Maintenance Engineer with a strong background in electrical and mechanical maintenance for our established manufacturing client who are part of a global organisation.

We invite applications from logical thinkers and collaborative team players who can help ensure the smooth operation of our client's dynamic production line. The ideal applicant will possess experience in FMCG or the Food & Beverage Manufacturing and Distribution sectors.

Duties will include carrying out a wide range of planned and breakdown maintenance on a variety of production machinery including working on a range of electrical faults as well as PLC's.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out scheduled and reactive maintenance on a variety of mechanical and electrical equipment in an FMCG factory.
• Diagnosing and fixing faults in machinery to minimise downtime and maintain production efficiency.
• Collaborating with the production team to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Applying your technical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
• Adhering to health and safety regulations while maintaining work standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong Mechanical Knowledge.
• Electrical qualifications (NVQ, HNC, 18th Edition or Equivalent).
• Knowledge of PLC's such as Siemens 7 or Allen Bradley would be advantageous.
• Hydraulics and Pneumatics experience.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety.
• Proficient with PC based systems (Excel, SAP) to oversee routine maintenance and organise repairs (training will be given).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure production environment
