Our client, a well-established manufacturing business, is seeking a dedicated Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to enhance its engineering function at a bustling production facility in Newcastle.

The Role
As a pivotal member of a small engineering team, you will ensure the reliability, performance, and safety of production equipment throughout the site.
Key responsibilities include:
Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities. Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults on production equipment. Responding swiftly to machinery breakdowns to minimise downtime. Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance. Maintaining high standards of health, safety, quality, and housekeeping.
About You
Our client is looking for a proactive and motivated Maintenance Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Ideally, you will have:
Previous experience in manufacturing, FMCG, packaging, or process environments. Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills. Experience maintaining production or automated machinery. A recognised engineering qualification. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday. Rotating early and late shift pattern. Ample overtime opportunities available.
Salary & Benefits
Competitive salary of £43,000 - £45,000. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. 5% employer pension contribution. Life assurance (3x annual salary). Healthcare plan. Bike to Work scheme.
