Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician

Our client are specialists in their industry sector, they are now looking to recruit a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician on a permanent basis.

This will be a shift-based role, days and nights.

Shifts Monday to Friday - week one 4 x12 hours, week two 3 x 12 hours, week three 3 x 12 hours.

The Job you’ll do

* Responsible for ensuring safe working practices are followed at all times.

* Completion of effective planned preventive maintenance of equipment, tools and facilities, with an emphasis on breakdown prevention through the continual development of PPM procedures.

* Diagnose faults and complete reactive repairs across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems.

* Assist with installation, commissioning, and modification of equipment.

* Liaise with production, engineering, and external contractors to resolve issues quickly.

* Identify and order spare parts, ensuring stock is maintained at required levels.

* Root cause analysis of breakdowns and implementation of effective reoccurrence prevention plans using tools such as Major Breakdown Reports.

* Work as part of a maintenance team and demonstrate good communication skills in interfacing with other departments, suppliers, contractors and manufacturers as required.

* Operating access platforms including scissor lifts and cherry pickers.

* Use of PC for accessing information, emails and completing reports.

* Assisting with the training and mentoring of apprentices.

About You

* To apply, we are looking for someone who has strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.

* Experience within a high volume-manufacturing environment, is competent in safe systems of work (LOTO, permits, isolation procedures) and has the ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals.

* You should also be computer literate and ideally have experience at using CMM’s.

* If you have good organisational skills, are self-motivated and have a hands-on approach to problem solving with the ability to work alone as well as part of a team this role could be ideal for you.
