Location: Near Howden, East Yorkshire
Salary: £32,760 + Benefits
Hours: Full-time (40-45 hours/week, Mon-Fri with flexibility for weekends and on-call cover)
Reporting To: Harvesting Manager

Role Overview:
An exciting opportunity for a hands-on, proactive Multi-Skilled Technician to join a fast-paced food production site. This is a varied role with majority of your time spent on the factory floor, where you'll work on a range of mechanical and electrical systems to ensure the smooth running of production.

Key Responsibilities:
• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across a range of equipment
• Respond quickly to breakdowns and minimise production downtime
• Work on a variety of systems including but not limited to VISCON or similar packaging lines & environmental heating and cooling systems
• Ensure all machinery operates safely and efficiently in line with food safety and H&S standards
• Complete maintenance records and documentation accurately and promptly
• Support continuous improvement and waste-reduction initiatives
• Liaise with senior teams on engineering matters and provide technical input as required
• Ensure good manufacturing practices (GMP) and hygiene standards are upheld
• Take part in on-call support and emergency breakdown coverage

Key Requirements:
Essential:
• Recognised qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role within manufacturing (ideally food/FMCG)
• Strong fault-finding skills in both mechanical and electrical systems (50/50 ideally or slightly electrically biased)
• 16th / 17th/ 18th Edition or equivalent
• Solid understanding of health, safety, and hygiene in a production environment
• Good communication and teamworking abilities
• Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and call-outs
Desirable:
• Food hygiene qualification
• Experience working in a fresh produce facility
• NEBOSH / IOSH or similar safety training
