Multi-Skilled Technician - Electrical

UPP currently has an exciting opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Technician (Electrical) to join our team. This is a permanent, part- time position working 37.5 hours per week from 09:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday.

Salary Circa. £38474.00, Location Hull.

The Multi-Skilled Technician (Electrical) will work as a member of a team providing both a planned and responsive maintenance service, specialising in electrical and mechanical repairs.

Must carry a full clean driving licence.

1 in 3 on call rota covering out of hours.

Planned and Reactive Maintenance

• Undertake maintenance within the residences in a safe working environment, assessing all Health and Safety issues before work commences  and report any hazards identified to the relevant Manager
• Carry out reactive maintenance in accordance with the Service Level Agreement and provide front line response for all electrical work
• Carry out PPM in accordance with the schedule
• Maintain accurate records of breakdowns and maintenance repairs, including records for statutory compliance
• Liaise with specialist sub-contractors

Statutory Testing

• Carry out statutory testing including PAT testing, fire alarm testing, fire door testing and others, as required

Health and Safety

• Report any Health and Safety issues relating to the residences ensuring all information is passed to the relevant persons

Other

• Assist colleagues in other trades and locations as and when the need arises
• Undertake training as required
• Participate in an on call rota, when required, and be prepared to work additional hours especially during the main student arrival and departure weekends
• Other duties as commensurate with the post
