Job Title: Lecturer in Construction (Multi-Skills)

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: £32,000 to £47,000 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Construction Lecturer to join an experienced department, delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment across multi-skills programmes. In this role, you will design and lead engaging, inclusive lessons that meet curriculum standards and reflect current industry practice.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver inspiring teaching and learning across multi-skills construction courses.

Contribute to curriculum planning and ongoing course development.

Provide robust academic and pastoral support to help every student achieve their full potential.

Track and monitor student progress effectively across a range of programmes.

Embed contextualised Functional Skills within the subject area.

Collaborate with internal colleagues and industry partners to ensure an outstanding educational experience.

Requirements

Teaching Qualification: A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, DET) or a willingness to work towards one.

Subject Qualification: Minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant Construction discipline.

Core Skills: Level 2 qualifications in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).

Experience: Proven track record of teaching Construction across Levels 1, 2, and 3 within a Further Education or training environment.

Development: Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Personal Attributes: Strong communication skills, a flexible approach, a solid understanding of current challenges within FE, and a commitment to inspiring learners.
