Position Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive and engaging music curriculum to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. The role entails fostering a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity, musical expression, and a lifelong appreciation for music.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver inspiring music lessons that align with the national curriculum and the school's educational ethos.


• Create a stimulating classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement, participation, and performance.


• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to facilitate individual growth and development.


• Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Music department and across the school to enrich the musical experience for all students.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Music or a related field.


• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.


• Demonstrated experience teaching Music at the secondary level.
