About the Role:

As a Music Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive and engaging music curriculum to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5. Your role will encompass:

• Designing and implementing inspiring lesson plans that cultivate a passion for music and foster musical development.


• Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students of all abilities to thrive.


• Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback to facilitate continuous improvement.


• Collaborating with colleagues within the music department and wider school community to enrich the music program.


• Staying abreast of the latest pedagogical approaches and music education trends.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will possess:

• A degree in Music or a related discipline.


• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.


• Demonstrable experience teaching music at the secondary school level.


• A profound understanding of music theory, history, and performance practices.


• The ability to play one or more musical instruments to a high standard.
