Examination Preparation: Lead Key Stage 4 cohorts systematically through terminal GCSE Music or vocational technical awards (such as BTEC Tech Awards in Music Practice), ensuring complete syllabus coverage across composition and appraisal portfolios.
Ensemble & Co-Curricular Direction: Direct, coordinate, and scale the school’s co-curricular music programs, including choirs, concert bands, and specialized modern ensembles, culminating in high-profile school concerts and community showcase events.

Pastoral Care Integration: Undertake full form tutor responsibilities, executing daily registration, auditing attendance profiles, and facilitating structured personal development sessions.
Community School Framework: Operating under the local authority Community School framework, our institution sits at the absolute heart of its neighborhood, providing an inclusive, comprehensively structured learning environment dedicated to broad community equity and accessible creative education.
Behavior Systems: The campus implements highly consistent, school-wide behavior routines that maintain a quiet, respectful, and orderly atmosphere, ensuring music classrooms and practice suites remain focused, productive, and respectful acoustic environments.
Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognized teaching credential, paired with a strong honors degree in Music, Music Performance, or a closely related creative discipline.

Industrial Engineering Capital: Based in Derby, the school benefits from operating within a city internationally recognized for its advanced technological innovation and manufacturing heritage, fostering a local community that deeply values precision, dedication, and technical craft.
Connectivity: The location offers premier East Midlands transport infrastructure, with rapid access via the A38, A52, and M1 corridors, alongside comprehensive local bus networks and direct East Midlands Railway links connecting straight into Nottingham and London St Pancras.
