About the Music Teacher Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented Music Teacher to join our high-performing Music department. The successful candidate will teach Music at Key Stage 3 and 4, providing students with opportunities to develop their musical abilities and creativity.

Responsibilities of the Music Teacher:

• Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Music lessons that inspire and motivate students.


• Assess student progress, providing detailed feedback to support their development.


• Contribute to the growth of the Music curriculum and extra-curricular music activities.


• Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.


• Encourage student participation in school concerts, musical productions, and competitions.

Music Teacher Qualifications and Experience:

• A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).


• A degree in Music or a related field.


• Experience teaching Music at secondary level, with a passion for both practical and theoretical music education.


• A solid understanding of the UK curriculum and exam specifications.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
