Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative and engaging music lessons that align with the national curriculum and school policies


• Assess students' musical abilities and progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance


• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies


• Organize and lead music-related extracurricular activities and performances


• Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes students' confidence and enjoyment of music


• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievements, and assessments

Requirements

• Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent


• Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field


• Proven experience as a Music teacher in a primary or secondary school setting


• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements


• Excellent musical skills and proficiency in playing one or more musical instruments


• Ability to inspire and motivate students through creative teaching methods


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
