Music Teacher | Islington | Outstanding Boys' School

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join an Outstanding Boys' school in Islington, starting in September. This is a full-time, permanent position for a dedicated Music Teacher to cultivate a love of music and develop musical skills in boys across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and effective Music Teacher lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.


• Prepare students for practical assessments and examinations in Music.


• Develop students' performance, composition, and listening skills.


• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback as a Music Teacher.


• Contribute to the organisation and delivery of extracurricular musical activities (e.g., bands, ensembles).


• Uphold the school’s ethos of teamwork and support as a valued Music Teacher.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Music.


• Proven experience in teaching Music at secondary level.


• Strong musical skills (performance and theory).


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as a Music Teacher.


• Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities in Music.


• A commitment to collaborative teamwork and a supportive school environment.
