A highly regarded secondary school in Wakefield is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Music Teacher to join their successful department on a one-year maternity cover contract from January 2027.

Whether you're leading practical performances, introducing students to new musical genres, or helping them develop the confidence to perform, you'll play a key role in fostering a love of music across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The Role

Teach Music across KS3 and KS4
Deliver engaging, creative, and inclusive lessons
Inspire students of all abilities to develop their musical skills and confidence
Support extracurricular activities, performances, and enrichment opportunities where possible
Contribute to a collaborative and supportive department

Holds QTS or relevant secondary teaching experience
Is passionate about Music and music education
Can engage and motivate learners across KS3 and KS4
Brings energy, creativity, and enthusiasm to the classroom
Has strong classroom management skills and high expectations
Wants to make a lasting impact on students' educational journey
