Music Teacher – Outstanding School – Croydon

An Outstanding Ofsted-rated secondary school in the London Borough of Croydon, celebrated for its vibrant arts culture, is seeking a passionate and talented Music Teacher. This is a full-time, permanent position, teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for Key Stage 5). The school is looking for a Music Teacher to inspire and nurture student talent.

Responsibilities:

The successful Music Teacher will plan and deliver engaging and inspiring lessons, developing students' practical musicianship (instrumental and/or vocal), theoretical understanding, and appreciation across diverse genres. You will foster a love of music, assess student progress effectively, and provide constructive feedback. Contributing to the school's thriving extracurricular music programme, including ensembles and performances, is a highly desirable aspect of this Music Teacher role.

Requirements:

Applicants must be a qualified Music Teacher (QTS) with a degree in Music or a related field. Proven experience teaching Music at the secondary level is essential, along with proficiency in at least one instrument or voice. Excellent communication skills, strong classroom management, and the ability to motivate young musicians are required.
